The history of Moravian Slovakia and its spiritual monuments are linked to the arrival of the Slavic missionaries, Saints Cyril and Methodius. The best-known sight, the spiritual heart of Moravian Slovakia, and also a place of pilgrimage, is Velehrad, with its basilica. When roaming through Moravian Slovakia, visit the Castle of St. Clement at Osvětimany, one of the cultural centres of the Great Moravian Empire. And don’t miss the Great Moravian Empire Monument in Staré Město.
