The part of the Zlín region, which belongs to Slovácko, stretches south of Zlín and occupies the area of Luhačovické Zálesí, a part of Bílé Karpaty (White Carpathians) in the east and the northern part of Chřiby (Chřiby Hills) in the west. The area of Zlín and its surroundings offers interesting natural localities, e.g. Želechovické paseky (Želechovice Clearings). In the area of Luhačovické Zálesí, Vizovické vrchy (Vizovice Hills) merge with Bílé Karpaty and you can see beautiful examples of well-preserved orchid meadows there. In Zlín and its surroundings, you can admire remarkable monuments, e.g. Gothic church in Tečovice, Baroque chateau in Napajedla, castle Malenovice as well as constructivist works with the dominating "skyscraper" in Zlín and Společenský dům (Social House) in Otrokovice. Nature of Luhačovice bears unique imprints of constructions of Dušan Jurkovič but you can also see castle ruins or interesting folk and technical monuments in wider surroundings. The Zlín region has a rich cultural and social life, which is enhanced by local museums, regional gallery, theatre and philharmonics. Museum and cultural programs running for the whole spa season contribute to the pleasant nature of the spa centre of Luhačovice.

The Zlín region also offers many possibilities of sport enjoyment. There are tennis courts and halls, bowling and fitness centres. The region provides countless possibilities of bathing and enjoying summer holiday at the water. You can also sail along Baťův kanál (Baťa’s Channel) or ski on the ridges of Vizovické vrchy. Fishermen and hunters will also find their satisfaction here.
