Podluží and the area of Hodonín offer many interesting natural localities, e.g. primeval forest Ranšpurk in the Lanžhot area or natural park Mikulčický luh.

Monuments

As for the sights, you can visit e.g. two of the prominent centres of the Great Moravian Empire - Pohansko at Břeclav and Mikulčice-Valy - or the chateau in Hodonín with an exposition dedicated to the most famous local native, the first Czechoslovak president T. G. Masaryk.

Cultural Traditions

The Gallery of Arts in Hodonín is surely worth visiting. Besides other things, you can see the works of the most famous artist in Slovácko - Joža Uprka. Interesting folklore events include Festival Podluží in Song and Dance in Tvrdonice in June, Svatovavřinecké slavnosti (St. Lawrence Feast) with market and feast entertainment in Hodonín in August, Svatováclavské slavnosti (St. Wenceslas Feast) in September or Hudecké dny in Břeclav in November.

Wine-growing

Interesting wine-growing sights, which can be presented to you by the Wine-growing trail Podluží and the Moravian wine-growing trail, include the unique area "Nechory" with five hundred wine cellars in Prušánky. As for wine events, let us mention hill closing, which takes place in Dolní Bojanovice in August and in Prušánky in September or wine-tasting in Dolní Bojanovice in March.
