Lednice can be found in the wide valley of the Dyje river by the Austrian border in the heart of Lednice-Valtice Area, which has belonged to the list of UNESCO World Cultural and Natural Heritage since 1996. That is probably why nobody is surprised that such a small town is one of the most famous tourist destinations in Moravian Slovakia and in the whole Czech Republic.

The main attraction of Lednice is the Lednice chateau with a park. Wonderful experiences tourists can enjoy is a walk through the park, which is adorned with romantic buildings such as a minaret, aqueduct or pumping station in the oriental style, or a ride on the Dyje river. The attention will be also quite rightfully attracted by the renovated chateau greenhouse.

Lednice can boast beautiful surrounding countryside. There is a system of ponds in Lednice, which also includes the Zámecký rybník pond. The nearby wetland reservation Pastvisko also represents a unique object. The beauty of Lednice and its surroundings can be discovered from two nature trails, and from many trails suitable for walking, cycling and horse riding. Also fishermen can enjoy their hobby in silent twists of the Dyje river.
