The most valuable Moravian locality of the halophytic flora is the national nature reserve Slanisko u Nesytu. It is probably the last site of the occurrence of vipers grass (Scorzonera parviflora Jacq.) in the Republic. Other rare plants include sea aster or sea plantain. Soluble salts, which condition the presence of this type of vegetation, come not only from the underlying sediments of Tertiary sea, but also from mineral springs, which were used in the past by sulphur spas.
